Sensitive information. Coaching often touches on wellbeing, neurodivergence, ADHD, emotions, relationships and beliefs. Some of this may count as sensitive or health-related information under privacy law. You decide what you share. We use it only to deliver the coaching and programs you asked for, and we never use it for advertising.
What we do not collect. We do not run advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or LinkedIn Insight, and we do not sell personal information.
3. How we use your information, and our legal basis
We use personal information only for the purposes below. If you are in the EU, UK or Sweden, the GDPR and UK GDPR require us to name a legal basis for each one.
| Purpose | Legal basis (EU/UK) |
|---|---|
| Create and run your account, membership or program; deliver coaching, The Web, WeirdNavigator and the LifeSpider Matrix | Contract |
| Take payments, send receipts, manage renewals and cancellations | Contract; legal obligation (tax and accounting) |
| Schedule and hold sessions on Calendly and Zoom | Contract |
| Record sessions and create session intelligence reports with AI | Your consent |
| Process sensitive or health-related details you choose to share | Your explicit consent |

| Send service messages, such as reminders and notice before a free period ends | Contract |
| Send newsletters, event invitations and offers | Your consent; you can unsubscribe at any time |
| Keep the site and community secure, prevent misuse, fix problems | Legitimate interests |
| Improve our programs using feedback and aggregated, non-identifying patterns | Legitimate interests |
| Respond to legal requests and protect our rights | Legal obligation; legitimate interests |
Â
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time by writing to academy@lifespider.com. Withdrawing does not affect what was done before.
We do not use your information for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Coaching sessions, recordings and AI
We record sessions and use AI only when you have said yes, and you can say no without losing access to coaching.
Session recordings. With your permission, coaching sessions are recorded on Zoom. We ask before recording, and you can ask us to stop at any point. Recordings are used to support your process and to create your session intelligence report. They are never published or used in marketing.
Session intelligence reports. With your permission, your coach transcribes the recording with MacWhisper, which runs locally on the coach's own computer, so the audio is not sent to an outside transcription service. AI tools then turn the transcript into a written report of patterns, insights and next steps. Your coach reviews the report. When we use an AI provider for this, we choose settings that do not allow your content to be used to train the provider's models where that option exists.
WeirdNavigator. WeirdNavigator is an AI guide currently built as a custom GPT on OpenAI's ChatGPT platform. What you type into it is processed by OpenAI under OpenAI's own terms and privacy policy, and is subject to your own ChatGPT account and data settings. Please avoid entering details you would not want stored by OpenAI. LifeSpider and its coaches cannot see your WeirdNavigator conversations or track whether you use it.
LifeSpider Matrix. The LifeSpider Matrix runs on our site and stores your entries in a database hosted by Supabase. Only you and the LifeSpider team members who support you can access them, unless you choose to share them.
AI output. AI-generated reports and replies can be wrong or incomplete. They support your thinking and your coach's work. They are not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice.
5. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with the service providers that run our business, with a coach when you agree, and when the law requires it. We never sell or rent it.
Service providers. These companies process data on our behalf and only for the purposes in this policy.
| Provider | What they do for us |
|---|---|
| Kajabi | Website, checkout, membership, community, courses and email |
| Payment processor used by Kajabi (such as Stripe or PayPal) | Card and payment handling |
| Zoom | Video sessions and recordings |
| Calendly | Booking and scheduling |
| Supabase | Database for the LifeSpider Matrix |
| OpenAI | WeirdNavigator (custom GPT) |
| AI provider(s) for session reports | Writing session intelligence reports from transcripts; transcription itself runs locally in MacWhisper (currently OpenAI's ChatGPT) |
Â
LifeSpider Coaches. Licensed LifeSpider Coaches are independent professionals. If you are referred to a coach, we pass on your information only with your permission. Once you contract with a coach for one-on-one work, that coach is responsible for the information they collect and hold in that relationship.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or to protect our rights and the integrity of our community.
Business changes. If LifeSpider Academy LLC is merged, sold or reorganized, personal information may transfer to the new owner under this policy. We will tell you before that happens.
Community. What you post in The Web of Weird is visible to other members. Please share with care.
6. Cookies

International transfers. LifeSpider Academy LLC and most of our providers are based in the United States. If you are in the EU, UK or Sweden, your information is transferred there. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
8. Your rights

If you are in the EU, UK or Sweden, you also have the right to:

- Restrict or object to processing based on our legitimate interests

If you are in the United States, some states, including Washington and California, give residents additional rights. We honor requests from residents of any state. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our decision; we will respond within 45 days.
9. Age, changes and contact
Age. Our programs, community and coaching are for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
Links to other sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of sites we link to. Please read their policies.
